Grace Kelli O’Neal is a member of the Knox County High School senior class of 2020. O’Neal is the daughter of Kelli Pinson and Richard O’Neal. She is the active President of both the Art Club and Drama Club and is involved in NHS, Spanish Club and Eagle Nation News. In three words, O’Neal describes herself as dramatic, sarcastic and outgoing.
When asked who her favorite teacher is she said Mrs. Greenley. “She has taught me so many things that I will need to know about journalism for my future classes at Mizzou,” stated O’Neal. “That way, I can go into my classes with a basic knowledge of what I am going to be doing.” O’Neal’s favorite school memory was when her yearbook class made gluten-free food and surprised her with it on her birthday.
One of O’Neal’s biggest idols in life is George Harrison from the Beatles. “During his lifetime, while struggling to find peace in his own life, he tried to bring peace to the world with his music,” said O’Neal. The most influential person in her life has been her mother because she is patient and caring. She has also taught her the necessary life skills that she is going to need as she prepares to leave home.
Her future plans are to attend the University of Missouri and major in Journalism. In 10 years, she sees herself as being graduated from college with a masters degree and working for a newspaper or a magazine. She hopes to work in a bigger city such as New York, New York, or Boston, Massachusetts.
