Elainia Kay Pulliam is the daughter of Eugenia Rice Pullium and is a member of the Knox County Class of 2022. She is involved in track, FFA, basketball, Spanish Club, and FLBA. She has also served in a variety of offices over the years in FFA and currently serves as the chapter President.
Elainia said her favorite teacher is agriculture teacher, Mrs. Dobrinske because she has helped Elainia with exploring her options for her future and encourages her to pursue a career in agriculture. Elainia’s favorite school memory is the time she shoved a dandelion into Mrs. Dobrinske’s mouth as a joke after telling her to blow on it.
Two things she shared that she will miss the most are not having very much homework and being able to be around her friends all day. Her most creative excuse to get out of homework was that "she left her iPad at her other house." A word of advice she has for freshmen is, “Work hard but don’t forget to have fun.”
Elainia describes herself as fun, joyful, and caring. The most influential people in her life have been her mother and sister-in-law. She says her mom always pushes her and her sister always gives her encouragement to do whatever she sets her mind to. One outrageous thing on her bucket list is Elainia wants to go skydiving even though she is terrified of heights. She enjoys hunting, fishing, riding horses, and spending time with family in her spare time.
Elainia plans to attend Northwest State University to major in animal science and work in the agricultural field in the future.
