Assuming the weather cooperates, Senior Night activities will take place after the varsity softball game tonight against Marion County. We will not be able to play a junior varsity game due to low numbers for Marion County.

In a joint statement, Knox County R-1 School District and Knox County Health Department, are announcing the identification late Friday night September 4, 2020 of a positive case of Covid-19 in an individual age 10-20. The individual is isolated at home and contact investigation is ongoing. Seating charts for classes/lunch/buses and interviews with the individual will be used to identify close contacts (those within 6ft for more than 15 cumulative minutes). Close contacts will be notified by the health department to go over quarantine timelines and self-monitoring for symptom development. The parents of identified close contacts should contact the school district on Tuesday morning to coordinate continued virtual education. The school and health department continue to work with state agencies and the center for disease control to implement best practices for Covid-19 management.
