Saturday March 1st, we hosted our annual Middle School Tournament of the Minds. Knox A ended the day in 5th Place, Knox B ended the day in 7th Place, and Knox C ended the day in 10th place out of 18 teams. Scholar Bowl matches were held at KC on Thursday evening. Knox JV Scholar Bowl picked up two wins v. Paris with scores of 260-90 & 170-110. Middle School Scholar Bowl teams kicked off their conference matches Tuesday against Westran and North Shelby. A Team beat Westran 240 - 40 and North Shelby 190 - 150. B Team beat Westran 160 - 30 and North Shelby 150 - 50. Thatcher Townsend led the A team with 20 toss-ups between the two matches and Jason Devlin led the B team with 12!

MSHSAA is looking for volunteers! Calling all 4th, 5th and 6th graders! We are looking for Ball Kids to assist during the Basketball Show-Me Showdown at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. This is your chance to sit courtside, help retrieve basketballs, provide water to officials, and be part of an unforgettable experience! Sign up in pairs of two or four for one of three daily shifts between March 12-15 (Classes 1-3) and March 19-22 (Classes 4-6). Participants will receive a digital ticket, a chaperone pass, a free t-shirt, and snacks. Spots are limited and are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis—so act fast! Congratulations to the Knox County Varsity Softball team for being named to MHSFCA Academic All-State. To qualify as a team, a team must meet the academic requirements including: have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.3 or better on a 4.0 scale. Our team had a cumulative GPA of 3.85 and were #3 in Class 1. Again, congratulations to all of our softball players on your academic success! Softball is coached by Nathan Miller.

Congratulations to Grayson Miller, Patrick Clark, and Ruah Park for being named to MTCCCA Cross Country Academic All-State. Athletes must have competed in either districts, state or both. They must meet the academic requirements including: 25 or higher on the ACT, 1150 or higher on the SAT, 3.6 cumulative GPA (non-rounded, non-weighted) at the end of the fall semester.
